Halloween pictures!

I did a few Halloween shoots this year. I'm sharing pics from two of them. Tycen and Paislee are cousins and their moms are good friends of ours.

Tycen was a garden gnome (and totally adorable at that!)

Little Miss Paislee, only 2 months old and already a model! She was Tinker Bell

Hello!

I've never really kept a blog before... this should be a very unique experience!

Some background..? My name is Amy. I just turned 24. I'm married to my high school love and we bought our first home this last spring. No kids yet, but plenty of animals have come our way! I've had a love of photography for as long as I can remember and I bought my first camera when I was 20.Things have moved very quickly from there.

I never really thought that I'd have my own business, but here I am! "Why Barefoot," you might ask? Because I literally never have shoes on.. okay... when there is snow on the ground, logically I have shoes on. But if I'm inside or the temp is above freezing? Totally barefoot. I hate those little sign that say no shoes no service.. I have several flip flops that I wear when I'm forced to clothe my feet. Be on the lookout for my bare feet when we shoot. You'll probably see them!

I worked for about a year for another photography company and due to financial reasons, I was forced to leave. I was pretty lost when I left there, but two very good friends sat me down (independently) and together with my husband, helped me gain the confidence to step out on my own.

I'm not shy by any stretch of the imagination, and I love giving people quality images, so I'm not sure why I was so scared to take this step.. I think I have a fear of failure, but who doesn't? Luckily I've gotten some amazing advice and have made contacts in the last year that have helped me get up and going. I've shot a couple weddings, some babies, toddlers, and even some family shots and special occasions. But you know.. I still get nervous on my way to a shoot. :D

I don't have a studio yet, but I have one under construction. I shoot outdoors for now, and hope to start the new year with new strobes and perhaps a finished studio! I'll be posting somewhat often, so look for plenty of pictures from the business, and a few wacky ones from my life. Hope you enjoy <3
